1. Who is responsible
Fingers Play Inc, registered in Quebec, Canada, at 6751A Boul St-Laurent, Montreal., is the controller of the personal information described here.

2. The short version
- Your conversation belongs to the two of you. We do not sell it, advertise against it, or use it to train AI models.
- Each couple has their own separate instance and their own database. No shared pool.
- Voice and video calls travel directly between your two phones, encrypted. Our servers never hear them and cannot decrypt them.
- Some features need third parties — an AI reply, a transcription, a payment. Those are listed in §5.
- You can export or delete everything.
3. What we collect
Because you put it there: messages, photos, documents, voice notes, calendar entries, lists, expenses, travel plans, songs, and answers you give to cards inside the app.
Because Puff remembers: facts he keeps about you so he is useful across conversations — preferences, dates, plans, names. You can see and delete every one of them in Settings.
Because the app has to work: your account name, a hashed password, your city and time zone, your app version, browser type, screen size, and whether a service worker is running. We log these to diagnose faults; they contain nothing from your conversation.
Because you paid: your subscription status and billing history. Card numbers go to Stripe and never reach us.
What we do not collect: your location beyond the city you tell us, your contacts, your other apps, your browsing outside SoOon. There are no third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the application.
4. Calls are not ours to hear
Voice and video calls are peer-to-peer and end-to-end encrypted (WebRTC/DTLS-SRTP). When a direct connection is impossible, the call is relayed through a server that forwards encrypted packets it cannot decrypt, because the keys are negotiated between your two devices.
We do not record calls and cannot transcribe them.
5. Who else touches your data, and why
Anthropic and OpenAI do not train their models on what we send them under our API terms. We do not train models on it either.
Instant voice (realtime). If you switch it on, your phone opens a direct connection to OpenAI and audio flows between your device and them. Our server issues a short-lived credential and never carries the audio.
6. What the two of you can see of each other
SoOon is for two people who both know the other is there.
- Shared content — messages, photos, calls, shared cards — is visible to both of you.
- A private line with Puff, and facts marked private, are visible only to you. Settings shows on every remembered fact whether it is shared or private.
- There is no hidden mode. We do not offer either partner a way to watch the other secretly.
7. How long we keep it
- Your conversation and cards: until you delete them or close the instance.
- Voice notes and audio sent for transcription: the audio is deleted once transcribed. The text is kept as your message.
- Puff's memory: until you delete the fact.
- Diagnostic logs: the last 20 records per person, then overwritten.
- Usage counts on the control plane: a rolling window, currently 90 days, and you can ask us to set it to zero.
- Billing records: as long as tax and accounting law requires, typically seven years.
- After you close an instance: deleted within 30 days, including backups.
8. Your rights
You can, at any time:
- See everything — the app exports your whole conversation as a file.
- Correct anything, including deleting individual things Puff remembers.
- Delete everything by closing the instance.
- Object or withdraw consent, which means closing the instance, since the service cannot function without processing your messages.
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec, or your local authority.
Write to privacy@sooon.chat. We answer within 30 days.
Because an instance belongs to two people, a deletion request affects both. We will tell the other partner before acting on a request that would delete shared content. We prioritize your right to erasure, but we provide this notification so your partner has the opportunity to export shared content if they wish to keep it.
9. Security
Passwords are hashed. Traffic is HTTPS. API keys are held on the server, never in the app. Each couple's instance is a separate database with separate credentials.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information we will notify you and the relevant regulator as the law requires.
10. Children
SoOon is for adults, 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover we have, we delete it and close the instance.
11. Changes
If we change how we use your information in a way that materially affects you, we will tell you in the application at least 30 days before it takes effect. We will notify you of material changes via an in-app notification, which provides a clear record of the notice provided.
